This is the second concept I’ve made for my favorite NHL team, the Calgary Flames (here is the first). I have to admit, I am not a fan of their current duds; they have too many patches and the striping is all over the place, making for a very cluttered and uneven look.
So I thought I’d simplify their jerseys and give the team a design that looks fiery. There are some offset stripes at the shoulders that hint at flames, and with the underarms and side panels flowing together I’d like to think the player would look like a human torch!
There are two different takes for the stripe design at the waist for the white and red jerseys, either would work in my opinion.
There is nothing geeky about the design however I am looking at using this template for House Targaryen and other fire or dragon-based teams in the future.
